190$ I owe the school, why?

So I'm outside talking to my friend at school, I drop my backpack like usual. Letting gravity do it's work. Well this time gravity fucks up. My backpack slams through a 2 by 3 foot window and creates a perfect circular hole in it the size of a watermelon. Knowing the school has almost no blind spots I went straight to the principal. I tell him of the incident, he seems calm but distrustful. outside I hear 'He kicked in the window?!' That's when I think to myself "OH FUCK!" I know this principal doesn't use camaras but believes everything he hears. As I leave his office (He told me to speak with him later) All of my friends walk up to me either asking 'wtf did you do?' or saying 'Hey nice job.'

In the end a teacher of mine, bless her heart, attested to it being an accident, now I just have to work off the money with the janitors, who are pretty cool people. In the end I still don't know how it happened

I loled.

I generally move my arm backwards but my forearm loosened, creating a railway per se, and it slid into the window. :/

They had the smart idea to create a wall of windows in a large grid seperated by titanium (I'm guessing) beams that are about 3 in. thick. I hit the lower one with my backpack. The window had what seemed to be metal wiring in it for some unknown reason. Sorry all I should've been more indepth.
